Transition to high school

Campbell Street Primary School has traditionally held close working relationships with Hobart City and Taroona High Schools. Throughout the year students and staff from these secondary schools visit our Year 6 students to participate in talks and activities that help with information sharing and relationship building. Our students also visit these schools during their final year with us to help fully prepare them for their transition to Year 7. With the merger of Ogilvie and New Town High School campuses in 2022, the new co-educational Hobart City High School has become the main destination for high school for Campbell Street students. Parents of students who intend to enrol in any other high school are advised to make contact directly to that school to enquire about the transition support they are able to receive.
